Our community: Potter Interior Systems
For 55 years, Potter Interior Systems have been distributing quality products and solutions to New Zealand’s commercial construction market from their base in Penrose, Auckland.
Since they are a supply and distribution business, storage space is a core requirement. ‘We are based on Church Street,’ says general manager Craig Hawkins, ‘but after landing a wider distribution business, we ran out of yard. We looked for a nearby distribution space and found Station205, which is as close to our site as we could get.’
Feeder warehouse for main yard
The company uses Station205 to store their steel studs and ceiling tracks. ‘When stock gets low from the main yard, we top up from Station205, which is the feeder to our main Auckland distribution centre.’
Of course, storage space is only useful if it is easily accessible and in the right location. Station205’s position in the heart of Penrose fulfils all Potter’s requirements, with easy access and arterial connections to both the port and the airport.
Allowing expansion
‘It solved our space problem for product storage immediately. Andrew’s a great guy and a great landlord, making modifications to building features to accommodate our needs. There’s also great site security. The shed we use has good truck access, and our team have access to kitchen facilities and amenities on site.’
